Northern Arizona sure is a show off! From the Red Rocks of Sedona to the mountains of Flagstaff, it truly has it all. We took full advantage of the varying landscapes for Lindsay + Andy’s couple session spending time in both and bringing their cute pups along for the ride! I love Lindsay and Andy’s dynamic. From the short time we spent together, I could feel Lindsay’s free spirit and Andy’s grounding energy. They are a perfect balance and a perfect match! Their Flagstaff and Sedona couples session had a little of both their personalities infused together.

One of my most prominent memories from their session was the crazy ride up to Lockett Meadow in Flagstaff. It is a special spot for all four of them, since they take the pups hiking there once a year. They wanted to make sure they had photos in Flagstaff but also with the magical Red Rocks! It was the best of both worlds! If you’ve ever visited the gorgeous spot that is Lockett Meadow, then you know it’s a SUPER bumpy ride on a gravel road high up on the side of a mountain the whole way up. It was honestly terrifying! Lindsay just kept reassuring me that Andy had made the drive a ton of times and it was totally fine. A true bonding experience for all of us, I think!

We finished up with a trip to Cathedral Rock in Sedona, one of the most iconic locations of Red Rock country. We strolled through the desert baked landscape, twirled in front of the view and snuggled up between cacti and agave. Nothing quite compares to scenic Sedona! But, lucky us, we didn’t even have to choose – with Flagstaff and Sedona within driving distance we got to experience the beauty of both the mountains and desert all in a day!
