Wedding Lead Photographer: Kelsey
Katie and Logan were one of our first couple’s impacted by Covid with their wedding day originally planned for March of 2020. Before anyone had any idea what it was or what was happening, they had to quickly reschedule and re-plan their big day. All throughout the entire process they stayed calm and positive, knowing that their day was going to work out and be just as magical when it eventually happened. We loved that they made it a priority to still exchange vows on their original date in March with an intimate ceremony shot by Kelsey. When they finally got to celebrate with their friends and family at Willow Lake Event Center, it was such a celebration! I had a blast as Kelsey’s second shooter for the day capturing all the joy of their long awaited wedding in the woods!
Katie was the epitome of bridal beauty in a gorgeous gown that fit her like a glove, carrying a wildly beautiful bouquet while Logan dressed to impress in black on black. I loved the edge to his style and together they were a total smokeshow! For their couple’s session, we got to cozy up in fields of wildflowers, bask in light coming through the trees and even spent a few minutes on a dreamy tree swing. They are seriously beautiful together, even the light was drawn to them!
The reception was decked out in lush greens with a head table that dreams are made of and a cake to match! It was amazing seeing all the wedding traditions finally come to life for them! From first dances to bouquet and garter tosses, their positivity got them through the months of unknown, to this day full of love surrounded by their friends and family. Their wedding in the woods was the highlight of 2020 for this sweet duo!
