I will never stop thinking about Marlin + Haley’s sunny backyard wedding in Fort Walton Beach, Florida! This sweet couple originally approached me to do a newlywed photoshoot in Cincinnati after they arrived home from their intimate wedding in Fort Walton Beach. After talking with them, one thing led to another and the next thing I knew I was buying a ticket to shoot their wedding day!

They were married at Haley’s childhood home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I absolutely loved that every detail was so personal, the fact that they got married in a place that had so much meaning and sentiment was such a cool thing to experience! Marlin and Haley are two of the most selfless, kind-hearted people I have met. They give their all to so many people and are always celebrating others! Because they are so caring towards everyone around them, it made it SO easy to want to celebrate them.

Working with Marlin and Haley was so enjoyable because they expressed to me how important their photos were to them – yet they trusted my creative vision completely! I was able to do whatever I felt inspired by, even if it meant doing a three minute, rapid-fire shoot for the last few minutes of sun on the beach.

There is something so special about the way these two look at each other, as cheesy as it sounds! You’ll see exactly what I mean in these photos. When Marlin turned around to see his bride, Haley, for the very first time his eyes lit up like something I’ve never seen. He never stopped looking at her that way for the rest of the wedding day.

Capturing these two making it official at Haley’s quaint and beachy childhood home and celebrating with the ones they love was SUCH an honor.
