Sarah + Keven’s Grand Cayman Islands wedding was one for the books! They were married at Morrit’s Resort in the Cayman Islands where they met (completely by chance!) 10 years earlier and have vacationed together ever since. How cool is that? They were so relaxed all day and just wanted to enjoy the day with each other. I loved that the morning started with (very) tearful note exchanges and ended with drinking rum and dancing for hours.
As their photographer, I couldn’t have felt more at home during this trip. Sarah + Keven treated me like family from the start. They knew the videographer and I would be the only ones at their wedding who were not family or close friends with the rest of the guests, so they made a point to get to know us before the trip by taking us out for dinner and drinks.
Once we arrived in the Cayman Islands with them, they invited us to every meal and gathering that they had with their family. They had seats for us at their rehearsal dinner, invited us to brunch on the morning of their wedding and made us put our cameras down to dance with them on the wedding day. By the end of the trip I literally felt like a bridesmaid!
I love Sarah and Keven because they love each other and other people so well. It was so clear that while they were there to celebrate their commitment to each other, it was so important to them that everyone else was happy too.
They are just the coolest! They’re two of the only people I know who can go from eating pizza and drinking beer in their swimsuits to dressed to the nines and toasting champagne on the beach in under 12 hours. They’re always for down for an adventure (like climbing over lava rock at 5am for the shot) but they’ll also make something as simple as sharing a meal feel like the most fun thing on earth.
